Posture Perfect!TM
An Effective NEW Way to Improve Posture, Balance
and Strength Using The Meeks Method...
(based on The Meeks Method of Postural Correction by Sara Meeks, PT )
What is Posture Perfect!TM
Posture Perfect!TM is a safe, effective and fun way to improve your
posture, balance and strength. Each small group teaches you simple,
easy to learn exercises that you can practice in the comfort of your
own home. These exercises help strengthen your back, hip and postural
muscles; protect your spine and hips, prevent falls and fractures and
alleviate back pain. Preventing falls and improving posture can
significantly reduce your risk of spine and hip fractures.
Each class teaches you how to:
- Alleviate Pain
- Correct Your Posture
- Improve Your Balance
- Prevent Falls and Fractures
- Strengthen Back, Hip and Leg Muscles
Unlike other exercise programs, Posture Perfect!TM only uses exercises
that have been proven both safe and effective. Each class targets the
muscles that help you stand-up straight and keep from falling.
Each one hour class blends the posture correction work of
Sara Meeks, PT with balance, strengthening and movement activities.
Other benefits of Posture Perfect!TM include enhanced body image,
better coordination, increased bone strength and reduced pain and
stiffness.

The Importance of Good Posture
Posture is essential for good health. Regular practice of the Posture Perfect!TM
exercises can help improve your circulation, digestion and breathing. Better
posture also helps to alleviate pain by balancing muscles and relieving
stress on the knees, hips, back and neck. Good posture results from
muscles that are strong, flexible and balanced. The muscles that are
responsible for good posture are also critical in helping maintain balance.
Balance Basics
Good balance is crucial to living a long and independent life. Standing or
walking without assistance is difficult without good balance. How many times
have you heard of someone falling and breaking a hip and never fully
recovering? You learned to balance when you were young. Posture Perfect!TM
helps you re-learn good balance and practice it every day of your life.
Good balance can and will literally save your life!
Good Posture is a Habit
Like most things you do, good posture is a habit. The first step to improving
your posture is awareness. Posture Perfect!TM makes you aware of your
posture and allows you to start slowly correcting it. You will be more mindful
of your body when you sit, stand and lie down.
Personal Attention and Support
Personal attention is the key to improving your health and fitness. Our
small group approach helps you get the most out of each class. The other
members of the group also provide a natural support system that is
important to a long-term commitment.
