Back pain is one of the most common medical problems affecting 8 out of every 10 people. Surgery is generally not a good first answer to relieving back pain. Our Better Backs!TM program takes a unique approach to eliminating back pain by emphasizing simple mindful relaxation, flexibility and postural activities.
The Primary Cause of Back Pain
Back pain is a complex problem that is usually a result of too much sitting, high stress levels, a lack of flexibility and poor posture. These factors come together to tighten the muscles of the back, hips, legs and pelvis creating pain. Relaxing the body and stretching and balancing these muscles alleviates pain and helps provide a permanent solution to your acute and chronic back troubles.
Better Backs!TM is Unique
Better Backs!TM is unlike any other exercise program because it is safe and effective for all ages. It is safer than traditional Yoga or Pilates programs because we have eliminated the harmful bending and twisting motions that can hurt your back. After each session you will feel more mindfully relaxed, flexible and experience what it is like to live pain free.

It's your choice. Join a small group or elect to enjoy the personal attention of individual sessions. Each individual or small group class teaches simple, safe, easy to learn health-based exercises that you can practice in the comfort of your own home. Skype sessions are availabile as well.

All Abilities Can Benefit
All abilities can benefit from practicing the Better Backs!TM exercises. Younger people can use the Better Backs!TM exercise to help prevent back and bone problems and increase bone health. Later in life the exercises are effective at relieving back and neck pain and improving balance, bone and muscle strength and self-confidence.
Reston, Herndon, and Middleburg
Better Backs!TM classes are appropriate for all ages and health and fitness levels. Each class meets for one hour a week for 8 weeks. Class sizes are limited to eight people to maximize individual attention. Individual Better Backs!TM classes as well as Skype, Zoom and FaceTime sessions are availabile as well.
